According to a trusted Vancouver Canucks radio show, a lot of the success that new head coach Adam Foote has in the next coming season is totally dependent on if General Manager Patrik Allvin sets him up to fail or succeed.
Whether it is under head coaches like Rick Tocchet or now Adam Foote, it does not change the fact that the Vancouver Canucks' system was not set up in a way that was conducive to scoring a lot of goals.
Will Vancouver Canucks GM Patrik Allvin make the right moves to set up Adam Foote for success?
Although a defensive mind and serving as the defense coach for the Canucks this past season, Adam Foote has to realize their needs to be changes when it comes to teams strategy when trying to generate offense.
Regardless, it was not matter as much as previously thought as the current offseason has a way larger impact on the teams success.
Patrik Allvin refused to makes moves at the NHL trade deadline which saw him ranked last in performance.
Whether or not it resulted in the team not making the playoffs, it 100% didn't help their cause.
This exact fact was reiterated by voices Matt Sekeres and Blake Price, where they stated Patrik Alvin's moves this offseason will be the greatest factor to Adam Foote's success or failure as a head coach.

At the end of the day, it will be interesting to see how Foote does behind the bench, but Allvin also needs to take his manager game to a whole new level this offseason.
