Vancouver Canucks former 40-goal scorer and pending UFA, Brock Boeser is set to cash in a major contract after it was announced today that Brock Nelson re-signed a fairly large deal with the Colorado Avalanche.

By this point, it is pretty clear where the Vancouver Canucks and Brock Boeser stand in terms of him leaving the organization/a> and testing out free-agency.
As a former 40-goal scorer and key piece to the Vancouver Canucks forward group for nearly a decade, Boeser has a specific number in mind, but General Manager Patrik Allvin and Jim Rutherford do not want to come up to his asking price.

Brock Nelson signing with the Colorado Avalanche ;leaves the door open for Brock Boeser to get major contract.

With the slim pickings of highly quality names in the market, Boeser is already a top option for most teams, but with the announcement today of Brock Nelson re-signing with the Avalanche, his stock and value has spiked.
One of the big winners of the Brock Nelson signing in Brock Boeser. With the market thinning, Boe$$$er is gonna get paid.
Brock Nelson receiving a three-year contract worth $22.5 million, with an average annual value (AAV) of $7.5 million, Boeser will be demanding something similar, if not higher due to being a previous 40-goal scorer.
On top of that, as stated above, with Nelson off the market, he becomes one of the highest value targets in the market where he can demand more than previously reported.
At this point, it does not look like the Boeser will be re-joining the Canucks, but if he does, it is because they are willing to pay a pretty penny for his services.
