Vancouver Canucks change Derek Forbort's role after they announced their lineup and starting goalie for the highly anticipated matchup against the St. Louis Blues.

Derek Forbort is out, Victor Mancini is in, and Kevin Lankinen will start as the #Canucks face the Blues on Monday night.
With the Vancouver Canucks looking to bounce back against the St. Louis Blues after dropping a 3-1 divisional matchup vs. the Edmonton Oilers on Saturday, it appears that head coach Adam Foote is already shaking up the teams dynamic.
Saturday's game against the Edmonton Oilers was just one game of 82. It doesn't define the Vancouver Canucks' 2025-26 season. It just feels like it does because it came so early on.

Some glaring issues early in the season have come from Elias Pettersson and unexpectedly, captain Quinn Hughes, both who have recorded just one assist in their first 2 contests.

It appears new head coach Adam Foote is giving fans want after it was they were seen calling for some big changes after dropping their second game of the year to Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.
The most glaring difference is Victor Mancini stepping in to replace Derek Forbort on the 3rd defensive pairing after the veteran d-man was reported to need a maintenance game.

Along with Mancini taking the spot of Forbort, Arshdeep Bains has been handed a major demotion to the fourth line while being replaced by fan favorite Evander Kane, who will be getting his first shot in the top-six this season.
Another shakeup is being seen in between the pipes for the Canucks as Kevin Lankinen will be getting his first start of the season, giving Demko a well earned rest from his two impressive performances, despite dropping one to the Oilers.
