Former Vancouver Canuck Nikita Zadorov calls-out Lucas Raymond, but his own actions expose major hypocrisy
Former Vancouver Canucks defenseman and current Boston Burin Nikita Zadorov has been exposed as a hypocrite after calling out Detroit Red Wings forward Lucas Raymond.
Nikita Zadorov signed a 6-year, $30 million contract with a cap hit of $5 million per season (AAV) with the Boston Bruins this offseason has not been the player he showed to be with the Canucks, and the fan base is getting on his back.
In 45 games so far this season, he has only recorded 2 goals and 8 assists for 10 points, achieving a plus/minus rating of +6.
But the narrative about Zadorov does not pertain to his play, but his extra curricular action on the ice that are proving to be hypocritical.
Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov Exposed as Hypocrite
Cleary Zadorov forgot that their are cameras everywhere and instant replay exists, and he's been exposed of doing the exact same thing that he has complained about while playing the Detroit Red Wings in early December.
After Florida Panthers Center Eetu Luostarinen slashed Zadorov's hand, "Big Z" immediately began to embellish and wave his hand in pain in an attempt to draw a penalty, which of course he was successful in.
But, he previously spoke to the media about players embellishing calls, saying it is a man's game, and there is no room for that type of action in the league.
"I don't like when the guy's shaking his hand. I barely touched his hand, so I think that's got to get out of the league. It's a man's league. We all get slashed. We're all in pain. But you don't go like this and show the referee that you get slashed. So I think it's just a little bit disrespectful." - Zadorov
Zadorov was not done there:
"Well, I mean, the referees - Wes [McCauley] and Jon [McIsaac], they've been in the league for a while. You know, they've seen hard play. They've seen when guys play hard. And I think even they agree it should be out of the league like this. You don't sell penalties. They see it. That's why there's two refs."
