Frank Corrado exposes the Canucks weakness of the first round
The Canucks are currently holding a 3-2 lead over the Preds in this year's first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Even though the Nucks have faced lots of adversity, with Thatcher Demko and Casey DeSmith being injured, they still managed to win three.
The Canucks were one of the league's very best teams during the regular season. While it may have looked like the Preds were an ''easy matchup'', the goaltender injuries and their inability to produce offence have gotten them to game six. The former Canucks defenceman, now TSN analyst, pointed out the team's weakness and how it's been holding them back:
.
@frankcorrado on the #Canucks in this series:
"Where are the game-breakers? That has to put you over the edge...there's more elite skill in Vancouver than in Nashville." #Preds
J.T. Miller has been his usual self; Brock Boeser needled that thread occasionally, but where is Elias Pettersson's offensive production? The Canucks, regular season success mainly came from their line-up depths and their star abilities to take over games, and so far in these playoffs, it hasn't happened.
The Canucks will hit the ice on Friday in Nashville with another opportunity to seal the deal. Hopefully, the Canucks' big guns show up and close this series.
