A former first round pick is now available on the trade market and could potentially be an option for the Vancouver Canucks and General Manager Patrik Allvin.

Trade rumors are starting to pick up around the National Hockey League and understandably, Patrik Allvin is still hoping to make another deal, potentially before the National Hockey League's holiday roster freeze takes effect on December 20th.
One potential target for the Vancouver Canucks is Winnipeg Jets forward Brad Lambert, who was reportedly given permission to speak with other teams about a potential deal and could be a fit for Adam Foote's group.
"#Canucks have already dipped their toes into the former first-round pick C, wouldn't be surprised if they poke around on this one as well.

Lambert's struggled at the NHL level (10 GP, 1G, 3P), and decent numbers in the AHL (127GP, 28G, 62P).

The Finn would probably welcome a move to VAN with the minutes for the taking down the middle of the ice." Tyson Cole of Canucks Army said on X yesterday.

As Patrik Allvin continues to evaluate what options he has to make an addition to his roster, it appears that another former first round pick has become available on the trade market.

Former tenth overall pick reportedly available to Vancouver Canucks on trade market

During an appearance on Sportsnet 650 radio on Friday, National Hockey League insider Rick Dhaliwal shared that Anaheim Ducks defenseman Pavel Mintyukov will be traded at some point this year, if his ice time doesn't start to increase.
Dhaliwal went on to add that the Vancouver Canucks were very interested in Pavel Mintyukov leading up to the 2022 NHL Entry Draft, but he was taken five spots ahead of where they picked and there could be interest once again given that Assistant GM Ryan Johnson was scouting Wednesday's game between Anaheim and Boston.
Mintyukov, a native of Moscow, Russia, has been a healthy scratch for three straight games now and isn't too happy with the role he currently has with the Ducks.
"And in Mintyukov's case, he's been scratched a couple of games this week that the Ducks won [and] he's not happy about that, as we wouldn't expect any player to be. But there has been dialogue between the Ducks' management and his agent, Dan Milstein, about whether this continues. I think he'd prefer to be somewhere else where he can play." TSN's Chris Johnston said on Thursday.

In 18 games this season for the Ducks, the 21-year-old blueliner has three assists, two penalty minutes and is a plus-one.
