Hypothetical trade involving Nils Hoglander receiving important backlash
Training camps are just about to open, and the Canucks are excited to see how it plays.
Not that there are many places in the lines, but more because Tocchet will have difficulty creating his perfect line-up with these new additions. With the team's recent additions, the Canucks have a surplus of wingers, and a fan took this opportunity to make a hypothetical trade in which Allvin would choose to spare the young 20 goalscorer Nils Hoglander.
Heading into the 2024-2025 campaign, the expectations is that Patrik Allvin will be on the look out for Defenseman. The said hypothetical trade has been getting lots of backlash on Instagram as it saw the Canucks trading Nils Hoglander for the Golden Knights Stanley Cup Winning defenseman Nicolas Hague. In a one-for-one deal.
While Nils Hoglander's trade value may never be as high as it is, trading him now may not be the smartest of ideas. If they choose to part ways with their number twenty-one, they have to make sure it's worth their time, and it doesn't feel like Nicolas Hague would be enough.
