Important update on Thatcher Demko's injury reportedly false
It's been a week filled with ups and downs for Vancouver Canucks fans, starting with their Game 1 victory over the Nashville Predators, followed by losing their goaltender Thatcher Demko to injury and being defeated in Game 2.
There have been plenty of reports on the injury to Vancouver Canucks goaltender Thatcher Demko over the last few days and it was a bit concerning on Thursday night after Sara Civian of B/R Open Ice reported that he would be out for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"I'm hearing that Thatcher Demko is done for the rest of the playoffs" Civian said.
While it's absolutely understandable for Canucks fans to be worried after hearing that report, it doesn't appear to be correct. On Sportsnet 960 radio, Frank Seravalli said that he heard a report saying Demko was done for the playoffs and said that it's not accurate.
"I believe he's out for the series. If Canucks get into the 2nd round, he's got a chance to play again. I did see a report that he's done for the playoffs. I don't think that's accurate." Seravalli said.
It's going to be tough for the Canucks without having Thatcher Demko between the pipes, but they'll have to rally together and pull out a series win over the Nashville Predators if they want to have a chance at their star goaltender returning.
