Monday's game against the Minnesota Wild is one to forget for the Vancouver Canucks, who blew a 5-2 lead and went on to lose 10-7 after hat tricks from Joel Eriksson-Ek and Kirill Kaprizov.

The Canucks started the game strong and forward J.T. Miller found the back of the net three times for his third career hat trick.

In a post on social media, Sportsnet Stats shared that J.T. Miller is the first Vancouver Canuck to score a hat trick against the Minnesota Wild since Ryan Kesler did in April of 2011.

"J.T. MIller

First member of the #Canucks to score a Hat Trick vs the Wild since Ryan Kesler on April 7, 2011"

Miller, 30, has had a fantastic season thus far and is on pace to smash his previous career high in points, which is currently 99.

In 57 games this season, Miller has put up 74 points (27 goals, 47 assists), 45 penalty minutes and is a plus-26.

Miller and the Canucks will look to get back into the win column tonight as they continue their road trip in Colorado against the Avalanche. Puck drop is set for 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on Sportsnet Pacific.
