LATEST | Aatu Raty finally unlocked his full potential: The true gem from the Bo Horvat trade?
When the Canucks chose to part ways with their former captain Bo Horvat, they aimed for a critical return. Once the deal had closed and the return had been confirmed, many complained that Allvin had been fleeced and that he should have asked for more.
Over a year later, it's now hard to imagine the Canucks would be on the losers side of this deal:
TO VANCOUVER
- Anthony Beauvilier
- 2023 1st Round Pick
- Aatu Raty
TO NEW YORK
- Bo Horvat
The 1st Round Draft pick was used to acquire Hronek, and Anthony Beauvilier's return was used to land Nikita Zadorov. However, the name of the young prospect who came to Vancouver and has been developing in Abbotsford has retained lots of attention recently and with reason.
The 21-year-old is completing his 2nd entire season on North American soil, and he's now playing like the First Overall pick he was once viewed to be. With 9 points in his last five games, he's establishing his offensive solid presence. His recent performances have brought his totals to 46 points in 62 games. If he keeps on developing the way he has, he could cause a surprise when comes the 2024 training camp.
