LATEST | Rick Tocchet confirms the rumours regarding Elias Lindholm
There's been lots of rumblings about Elias Lindholm's health status over the last few weeks. The centerman was reportedly playing through something and was given "maintenance days" for the team's last two practices. The word went around quite fast.
Elliotte Friedman brought up that Lindholm had an appointment scheduled this week to, hopefully, reveal what's been bothering him. Some concern has been raised over the fact that Lindholm played against the Flames when he probably should've taken the game off.
Tocchet adressed the subject following today's practices, and it confirmed every rumour that had been going around regarding the Swede. The team's Head Coach wasn't willing to commit to Lindholm playing the Kings on Monday since he was still feeling under the weather:
Tocchet says another maintenance day for Lindholm. I won't commit to him playing tomorrow night vs LAK. He says they'll see how he is tomorrow
With 9 points through 22 games as a Canuck, it's fair to say that a lot of people were expecting a lot more offensively speaking from the Swede. The good news out of this is that the Canucks are still a few games away from the playoffs and that the team's number 23 still has time to figure things out or heal if that's what he needs.
