The Vancouver Canucks' power play has been operating at an astounding 22.8 percent this season, suitable for a tie for 10th in the NHL with the Dallas Stars. However, with the Canucks a modest 4-5-1 in the last ten games and barely clinging onto first place in the league ahead of the Boston Bruins, they appear to be shaking their power-play units up.

This new unit features Pius Suter at net-front, Conor Garland and J.T. Miller on the wings, Brock Boeser at the bumper position, and Filip Hronek as the lone defenseman. That would presumably leave the other unit to be Elias Pettersson, Elias Lindholm, Quinn Hughes, Nils Hoglander, and Ilya Mikheyev. Other possibilities include Sam Lafferty, who has seen limited power play time this season, and the recently-recalled Arshdeep Bains, who may be able to show off his offensive capabilities.

The team notably scored a power-play goal to win overtime on Saturday night against the Boston Bruins, courtesy of Brock Boeser. Vancouver finished 1-for-2 with the man advantage.

They will host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Tuesday night.
