LATEST | Nikita Zadorov confused by interview: Hilarious exchange with Scott Oake
Nikita Zadorov, fresh off of a commanding 5-0 victory over the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday night, was interviewed by Sportsnet. The hulking defender was plus-one, with three shots on goal and three hits in just over 19 minutes of ice time.
Perhaps delirious and exhausted from the victory, or simply unfamiliar with the term in which Sportnet's Scott Oake had asked him about, Zadorov gives fans some hilarious content from a small misunderstanding:
Several weeks ago, Vancouver fell 4-3 in overtime to the Detroit Red Wings, with defenseman Jake Walman scoring the winner on a penalty shot. He, like he has on many occasions, did his infamous «Griddy» celebration thought Zadorov had previously been ejected for a hit on Lucas Raymond (which he was later suspended for). Given his unfamiliarity with the term, there is a good chance he did not witness Walman's OT heroics that night.
Zadorov, 28, has 14 points on three goals and 11 assist in 60 games this season. He also has 137 hits along with 91 penalty minutes.
