The Canucks currently have the upper hand on the Avalanche after they've played a solid first period. J.T. Miller came out flying, scored a goal in the game's first moments and beautifully prepared the end of Ilya Mikheyev's 34-game goal drought.

The Avalanche wanted none, and Josh Manson wished to end his streaky sequence. The Avs defenceman was beaten to the corner by the Canucks' feisty forward and took revenge with a highly questionable hit.

Without a doubt, Canucks' fans have gone mad, and they've been calling out for a five-minute major for Manson. He was, however, only assessed a two-minute minor penalty:

That is an absolutely brutal hit. Should be 5 no question. #Canucks

Miller slowly got up, but as soon as he stepped foot on the team's bench, he retreated to the locker room, leaving everyone in concern:

Miller isn't on #Canucks PP1, and has left the bench following the Mason hit.

When the second started, the Canucks first came out and a few moments later, out was J.T. Miller. He appears shaken up, but the doctors most likely cleared him of every protocol.
