MAJOR | Canucks issue an official statement regarding Quinn Hughes
The Canucks made Quinn Hughes their Captain before the season started, and with reason. Hughes is not only highly skilled, but his work ethic is incredible. Since he first stepped in Vancouver, he's been an absolute beast and hasn't stopped progressing.
Against the Capitals, the Captain again broke the Franchise record for the most points by a defenseman. He registered an assist that brought his total to 77, beating his previous career-best and franchise-best 76. Hughes achieved the deed with 16 games remaining on the Canucks' calendar.
The Canucks issued a statement highlighting the Captain's performance:
Record-breaking for three straight years for Captain Quinn.
2023-24 - 77 points (and counting)
2022-23 - 76 points
2021-22 - 68 points
Through six NHL seasons, Hughes has registered an impressive 318 points, having played 351 regular-season games. The Captain will most likely have the opportunity to improve his already remarkable playoff numbers (16 in 17), as the Canucks are in an excellent position to play in the Spring dance.
