MAJOR | Statement issued regarding Brock Boeser
It's been a long time coming for Brock Boeser. After he was the Canucks' top pick in the loaded first round of the 2015 NHL Draft, he had given the team a few stints of what he was able to do and this year he finally broke out.
Boeser reached the 30-goal mark for the first time in his young career, a year after everyone wanted the Canucks to trade him away. Against the Avalanche on Tuesday, the forward assisted on the Canucks' loan goal and registered his 26th assist and 57th points this season. Boeser now has 31 goals and 57 points in 58 games, which now puts him over his career best 56 he had in his second professional career.
After everything the forward went through on the personal side of things, it's nice to see that things have finally gone the way they were meant to.
