The NHL was rocked last night as the Vancouver Canucks traded Quinn Hughes to Minnesota Wild for Marco Rossi, Zeev Biuum and Liam Ohmgren, Rossi has made his statement regarding the trade, and on his new home in Vancouver.

"Allvin also commented on the return he received from the Minnesota Wild, with Marco Rossi likely to slot in at center on the second line, something the club has been searching for since the start of the summer, while Zeev Buium and Liam Ohgren have top pairing and middle-six potential, respectively."-Jaxon

Marco Rossi shares his thoughts on joining the Vancouver Canucks.

Tyler Ball of Hockey Latest reported on the Austrian forward's thoughts about the trade, his time in Minnesota, and his new opportunity in Vancouver. Rossi will most likely end up as the second line center for the Canucks, a position they've been desperate to fill.
"It's been a crazy 30 minutes. That's business. That's part of it. We all play hockey and we know it might happen. But I'm really happy for everything Minnesota has done for me. There were ups and downs for sure, but I had a really good time in Minnesota."-Rossi

Rossi will have the chance to be one of the go-to guys in Vancouver, whereas in Minnesota he wasn't prioritized as much due to how much talent they had. Rossi will get good power play time and top 6 minutes every night. It's chance for him to really develop and take the next step in his career.
"The Canucks are in desperate need of a second-line center to push Elias Pettersson and Rossi has been billed with that type of upside in the past. He along with defenseman Zeev Buium will now be tasked with helping lead this new version of the Canucks through what will likely be a rebuild phase in the next couple of seasons."-Ball

Rossi will be the key piece in this deal, if the Canucks are to win the trade he needs to become an elite player in the next couple years. Biuum is also an important piece, but the Canucks need scoring desperately and Rossi needs to deliver.
