Vancouver Canucks organization complete another trade after sending Quinn Hughes to the Wild
The Vancouver Canucks organization has completed another trade recently and have decided to part ways with a former NCAA goaltender after just one month with them.
It's been a busy time for the Vancouver Canucks organization over the last couple of months with the trade of captain Quinn Hughes on Friday night along with moves made by their minor league affiliate, including the Kalamazoo Wings, who sit second-last in the ECHL's Western Conference with a 7-10-2-1 record through 20 games.
Due to injuries and performance reasons, the Kalamazoo Wings have been rolling through players since the start of the 2025-26 campaign and it looks like they've completed yet another trade this week.

With the goaltending situation improving throughout the Vancouver Canucks organization and everyone back at full health, the Kalamazoo Wings now have Ty Young and Aku Koskenvuo back on their active roster.
"The following transaction has occurred:
Vancouver (NHL) re-assigns G Aku Koskenvuo from Abbotsford to Kalamazoo (ECHL)" the Abbotsford Canucks said on X.

In order to make room for Young and Koskenvuo this weekend, the Kalamazoo Wings have traded goaltender Luke Pavicich to the Worcester Railers, who initially signed him in the offseason, in exchange for future considerations.
Pavicich, 23, joined the Kalamazoo Wings back in early November, signing a standard player contract (SPC) with the club shortly after becoming a free agent.
"The K-Wings have signed rookie goaltender, & former @sundevilhockey standout 😈, Luke Pavicich to a Standard Player Contract (SPC)." the Wings said on Instagram in November.
The Clarence Center, New York native spent four seasons in the NCAA with UMass, UMass-Lowell and the University of Arizona, suiting up for 67 games in his collegiate career before turning pro towards the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Pavicich went on to appear in seven games for the Kalamazoo Wings during his stint with the Western Michigan club, putting up a 2-4-1 record along with a 3.34 goals against average and a save percentage of .902.
With the Kalamazoo Wings now back at full strength between the pipes, they'll look to begin their climb up the Western Conference standings on Sunday as they take on the Fort Wayne Komets at 12 p.m. PT (3 p.m. local).
