An insider has revealed what the Minnesota Wild are seeking from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for pending restricted free agent forward Marco Rossi.

the Vancouver Canucks head into the offseason with potentially two areas they'll need to address among their forward group including a top-six winger to replace Brock Boeser, if he leaves the club on July 1st, as well as a second line centerman.
Patrik Allvin and the Canucks have been linked to numerous different players as their search for a second line centerman continues, including one that they've already made an offer for - Marco Rossi of the Minnesota Wild.

Insider reveals what Minnesota Wild want from Vancouver Canucks for Marco Rossi

The Vancouver Canucks' reported offer to the Minnesota Wild last week included their first round pick (15th overall) in this weekend's draft, along with an unnamed player, which was confirmed by Frank Seravalli of Daily Faceoff on Monday.
"Frank Seravalli: The rumour the Canucks offered the 15th pick+ for Marco Rossi is true; it's "going to take more" - SN 650" NHL Rumour Report said.
During Monday's edition of Canucks Central, Satiar Shah shared that the Minnesota Wild wanted one of Vancouver's top prospects, along with their 2025 first round pick in exchange for Marco Rossi.
"Sat just said Wild wanted a top prospect and 15th overall for Rossi" @Taj1944 said on X.
While Marco Rossi is a solid player and took a big leap forward during the 2024-25 season, it's hard to envision the Minnesota Wild landing a top prospect and a first round pick from any NHL team for the Austrian centerman.
However, with the Vancouver Canucks in desperate need of help down the middle and a legit second line centerman to play behind Elias Pettersson, Patrik Allvin could very well up his previous offer and take another stab at acquiring Marco Rossi.
If that doesn't work, then the Canucks will have to shift their focus elsewhere and with the trade market heating up, along with at least half a dozen other teams looking to add a centerman this summer, Allvin will have to act quickly.
The Vancouver Canucks General Manager may be forced into a situation where he'll have to overpay to land a player he believes can help them towards their goal of reaching the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
