"Miserable" - ESPN Insults Vancouver by Naming It the Worst Sports City in Canada

Vancouver was recently given the unfortunate title of most miserable sports city in all of Canada by a major US network, behind other locations such as Toronto, Ottawa, etc.
The City of Vancouver boasts several professional sports teams, whether it be the Canucks (NHL), Whitecaps (MLS), BC Lions (CFL), Warriors (NLL) and even the expansion PWHL franchise that'll begin play this fall at Pacific Coliseum.
Because of Vancouver's lack of success in the sporting world, they've been given a pretty unfortunate ranking by ESPN recently and it shows that the city needs to find a way to become a winner, in every league they have a team in.
Vancouver named most miserable sports city in all of Canada by ESPN
Recently, ESPN unveiled their Sports Misery Index, which allows fans to see how miserable their teams are, based on performance and how long you've supported them for.
Because ESPN is an America network, they don't take into account the CFL or even the NLL, leaving just two Vancouver-based professional sports franchises in their rankings - the Canucks and Whitecaps.
For the Vancouver Canucks, they haven't had a ton of success over the last 15 years, reaching the Stanley Cup Final once, losing in seven games to the Boston Bruins, and appearing in the Stanley Cup Playoffs seven times.
While the Whitecaps may have a chance at glory this season given the arrival of Thomas Muller and the fact they sit in third place in the Western Conference standings, but ESPN's Sports Misery Index unfortunately doesn't take that into effect and named Vancouver the most miserable sports city in all of Canada at 88 on their scale, which goes up to 100.
Individually, the Vancouver Canucks are given an 88 rating by ESPN, while the Vancouver Whitecaps come in at 90 on the network's scale, both of which are not good at all.
"You are: Woeful
Your prediction: Woeful
Things are looking pretty grim. I'd offer to buy you a cold beverage, but I'm just a robot in your computer." the ESPN Misery Index said.
Hopefully the sake of Vancouver's professional sports teams and all their fans, they can turn things around over the next couple of years and bring a championship to the city, starting with the Whitecaps this fall.
