Already just a few weeks into the "offseason" for the Vancouver Canucks, tons of rumors and speculation have been taking over the headlines about which players the team will be targeting and acquiring, and one name stands out more than the others.
With the Vancouver Canucks at home gearing up to watch the Florida Panthers and Edmonton Oilers play in the Stanley Cup Finals for the second year in a row, General Manager Patrik Allvin has a major task at hand to make this team in to a true contender.
NHL insiders suggest Dallas Stars forward Mason Marchment should be a top target for the Vancouver Canucks this offseason
Although it has no shot in happening, one name has emerged today that actually does make a lot of sense for the Vancouver Canucks to target this summer.
Today on the respected Canucks podcast, the Donnie and Dahli show, they were discussed all the rumors surrounding Vancouver right now, and trying to get to the bottom on which names make the most sense.
In the end, a name that kept creeping up was 30 year old Dallas Stars power forward Mason Marchment, who has been a staple in the Dallas Stars lineup for the last 3 seasons.

With
Brock Boeser testing free agency, the Canucks are desperate to find a replacement. Although Marchment isn't the goal scoring equivalent to Marchment, he brings the same leadership and adds grit and physicality the Canucks are notorious to lack.
In 62 games this season for the Stars, he scored 22 goals and 25 assists for 45 points.
Even though nothing is officially developing, one thing is for certain, this offseason for Allvin and the Canucks is crucial.
