With the NHL's free agent market set to open up on Tuesday, an insider has given an update on defenseman Noah Juulsen and his future with the Vancouver Canucks.

The Vancouver Canucks have a few notable names that are eligible to become unrestricted free agents on Canada Day at 9 am PT including Brock Boeser, Pius Suter, as well as defenseman Noah Juulsen.
Juulsen's time with the Vancouver Canucks has been up-and-down, quite literally between the NHL and AHL early on, but the last two seasons, he's been up in the big leagues on a full-time basis.
In the midst of a contract year, Juulsen suffered a season-ending injury which required surgery and now, roughly 24 hours before the free agent market opens, it appears that the Canucks have made their decision on whether or not they'll be bringing back the blueliner.

Insider gives update on Noah Juulsen one day before free agent frenzy begins

Over the weekend, Dhaliwal, along with Thomas Drance of The Athletic shared that Noah Juulsen was seeking a one-way contract, which would give him the same pay in the NHL and AHL, adding that the door wasn't closed just yet on staying with the Canucks.
"Finally, defender Noah Juulsen is still looking for a one-way contract. The door isn't closed on Juulsen returning to Vancouver, but it's trending toward him signing elsewhere." Drance and Dhaliwal said.

On Monday morning, Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali revealed that Noah Juulsen will be hitting the free agent market on July 1st after four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks organization.
"Looks like defenseman Noah Juulsen will test free agency on July 1st." Dhaliwal said.
Juulsen, a native of Surrey, British Columbia, appeared in 109 games during his time with the Vancouver Canucks where he registered nine points (one goal, eight assists), 49 penalty minutes and was a minus-16.
The 28-year-old will likely be of interest to other teams around the National Hockey League who are looking to add some depth on the blue line and someone who can play a third pairing role, along with the second penalty killing unit.
