The Vancouver Canucks have issued qualifying offers to a pair of prospects on Monday morning, while four will become unrestricted free agents on Canada Day.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has been very busy on Monday as the club has signed four pending free agents including prospects Aatu Raty and Arshdeep Bains.
The Canucks weren't done there as some other business needed to get done ahead of the 2 pm PT qualifying offer deadline which occurs every year on June 30th and Vancouver made an announcement on that matter a short while ago.

Vancouver Canucks issue two qualifying offers, four players become UFAs

In a Monday morning social media post, the Vancouver Canucks announced that they've issued qualifying offers to defenseman Jett Woo and goaltender Nikita Tolopilo.
Woo, 24, was drafted by the Vancouver Canucks back in 2018 and is still waiting for an opportunity at the NHL level, appearing in 267 games in the American Hockey League over the last five season.
In 67 games during the 2024-25 campaign, Woo had 18 points (two goals, 16 assists), along with 90 penalty minutes and was a plus-14.
As for Nikita Tolopilo, he held the starting role in Abbotsford for the majority of the 2024-25 season before being taken over by Arturs Silovs, who had an MVP performance all postseason long, leading them to the Calder Cup.
In 36 games this season, the Minsk, Belarus native had a 20-14-2 record, a 2.66 goals against average, a .902 save percentage and four shutouts.
The Canucks also announced that defensemen Cole McWard and Christian Felton, as well as forwards Ty Glover and Tristen Nielsen have not been issued qualifying offers and will become unrestricted free agents tomorrow at 9:01 am PT.
It was a bit of a surprise that neither Cole McWard or Tristen Neilsen received a qualifying offer from the Vancouver Canucks on Monday given the season they both had.
McWard finished second in points by a defenseman on the Abbotsford Canucks this season with 26 (six goals, 20 assists) in 67 games, while Nielsen also had a good year, registering 25+ points for the third consecutive season.
All four players that weren't issued qualifying offers today shouldn't have any issues finding a new home for the 2025-26 season, although, they'll likely be AHL bound once again.
