Patrik Allvin to announce roster movement

The Vancouver Canucks are set to announce a roster movement in advance of their potential series-clinching Game 5 against the Nashville Predators. Forward Vasili Podkolzin has been on the team's active roster for the entirety of the playoffs thus far, but has not dressed or seen any action.
Some hoped that Tocchet would have the young Russian take Phil Di Giuseppe's spot in the line-up. Podkozlin is known to elevate his game when the stakes are at their highest. On a two game winning streak, it's unlikely that Tocchet adopts any changes to his line-up. For development purposes, it would be much better to have him play some games and that's why the Canucks plan on sending him down to Abbotsford:
Sounds like #Canucks will send Podkolzin to Abbotsford to get some AHL playoff action. Org doesn't want him sitting without playing anywhere
He will be sent down to the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks in hopes of strengthening their roster ahead of their own playoff run, in addition to getting the 2019 first-round pick some playoff action of any sort. He had just two assists through 19 NHL games this season, two seasons removed from a 14-goal, 26-point rookie season in 2021-22.
We did spot Patrik Allvin having a hallway chat with Podkolzin earlier. Makes sense.
The Canucks head back to Rogers Arena against the Predators after securing Game 4 in a thrilling overtime matchup where
Brock Boeser netted a regulation hat-trick and
Elias Lindholm sealed the deal. Rookie
Arturs Silovs got his first Stanley Cup Playoffs win in his first postseason start.
