Phil Di Giuseppe leaving the Canucks for an indefinite period
The Canucks made lineup changes ahead of game three in Edmonton, and while some of the time may have been Tocchet's choice, it was just revealed that another event forced his hand.
Veteran number 34 Phil Di Giuseppe missed the team's morning skate ahead of game three. Following the practice, it was learnt that ''personal reasons'' had kept him off the ice.

Moments before the game began, the Canucks' commentator Brendan Batchelor revealed that Di Giuseppe had returned to Vancouver due to personal issues and that Nils Aman would step in for him in Tocchet's starting 20:
Batchelor says he's not expecting Phillip Di Giuseppe to be in the lineup. He's back in Vancouver due to personal issues. Nils Aman is the replacement.
