Ray Ferraro makes a very promising prediction for Jake Debrusk and the Canucks
The Canucks were after a winger who could play by Elias Pettersson's side and by the looks of it, the team's latest signing Jake Debrusk might just be what they needed.
The Canucks have been praised for this signing and the potential it has in the long term. Debrusk, 27, has already shown lots of promise in the early stages of his career and he's way overdue for a break out.
The former NHLer, now analyst, Ray Ferraro was on Sekeres and Price and stated that he believed Debrusk had what it takes to score 30 goals with the Canucks. He then gave his explanation on the subject:
.@rayferraro21 on why he thinks DeBrusk can score 30 with the #Canucks:
"Jake is big, fast and has great hands...I think he got stuck in Boston between the power game & the speed game...you should get more help from your centreman here."
Debrusk reached the 27-goals plateau twice already and had an offensive breakout season in 2022-2023 when he collected a career best 50 in 64.
In Vancouver, the Canadian winger will have the opportunity to play steady top minutes alongside one of the NHL's best playmaker, Elias Pettersson, an opportunity he's never had before. If the chemistry between the two rapidly sets in, the chances are the Canucks could have another Miller - Boeser like duo with Debrusk and Pettersson.
