New Development Appears to Confirm What Some Already Suspected Regarding Mitch Marner and the Canucks
With all the drama and noise surrounding the
Vancouver Canucks last season, it is going to be of heck of a tough sell for general manager Patrik Allvin and president of Hockey Operation Jim Rutherford to attract some big name free-agents this summer.
Mitch Marner leaves Vancouver Canucks off the list of teams he would be willing to sign with this offseason
After months of speculation, NHL insider and TSN analyst Chris Johnson revealed that Marner will officially test the free agent market.
Subsequently, the Canucks are in desperate need of a star forward like Mitch Marner to round out their top-6 forward group, but it appears that Marner already has confirmed what many already suspected about his desire to play in Vancouver.
A report by trusted source David Pagnotta revealed a list of all the names he is willing to listen offers from, and Vancouver is not one of them...
"Mitch Marner has a list of seven or eight teams he's looking at or would like to play for, including Vegas and Los Angeles.
San Jose, Columbus, and Anaheim are also preparing big offers."

Even with the available cap space to sign Marner to a big deal, all that has gone on in the past couple years with the fan base and media is a major red flag for players to want to sign here..
this rings true even more for the star forward as he already dealt with that kind of noise in Toronto for the last 9 seasons.
It makes sense that he would want to go to a quieter market that has a definitive chance at winning the cup for the next 5-7 years, like
the Florida Panthers.
