The Vancouver Canucks are in desperate need of a center, and their rumoured target is Pavel Zacha of the Boston Bruins, however most fans think it's a lateral move at best and it won't improve their team.
The Canucks failed to acquire a 2nd line center last summer, and they are paying the price for it after several injuries.

The post on X holds merit, it's been a while since the Canucks made a trade for a big name that will alter the franchise. Their best players have all been drafted by the Canucks; Boeser, Hughes, Pettersson, Demko. While that alone isn't a bad thing, a team needs the ability to trade, exactly for moments like this where they are battling several injuries, and failed to acquire what they needed over the offseason.
Zacha's size and skillset is rare, but I don't get too excited when a team's top six forward group is all 50 pts complimentary guys.
