Vancouver Canucks fans are getting close to seeing Dakota Joshua back in the blue and green following an update from head coach Rick Tocchet.
The Vancouver Canucks are set to kick off a three-game road trip tonight as they take on the St. Louis Blues, which will be featured on Amazon Prime's Monday Night Hockey broadcast.
It's been a tough stretch for Vancouver, winning just three of their last ten games and they'll look to turn things around starting tonight in St. Louis before facing Nashville on Wednesday and the Dallas Stars on Friday night.
After arriving in St. Louis on Sunday, the Vancouver Canucks opted not to hold a morning skate today, so we won't know until later today what the lineup will look like, but it appears we're getting close to the return of Dakota Joshua.
Dakota Joshua is a game-time decision tonight, per Rick Tocchet
When meeting with the media after practice on Sunday, Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet shared with reporters that
Dakota Joshua will be a game-time decision for their game against his former team, the St. Louis Blues.
"Joshua is considered a game-time decision for Monday's battle with the Blues after missing the past 10 games with a lower-body injury." Jeff Paterson of Canucks Army said.
If Dakota Joshua does draw back into the lineup tonight, it's safe to assume that either
Max Sasson or Phil Di Giuseppe will be made a healthy scratch by Rick Tocchet.
The Dearborn, Michigan native spoke with reporters yesterday where he talked about his impending return to the Vancouver Canucks' lineup after missing ten games
"Obviously, the adrenaline does a lot for you and being in the heat in the moment, I tried to go out there and do what I could. Unfortunate that I had to miss time, but once again, I'm putting that behind me and just looking forward." Joshua said.
In 24 games this season, Joshua has registered four points (two goals, two assists), 20 penalty minutes and is a minus-six.
Puck drop for tonight's game against the Blues is set for 4:30 pm PT and can only be viewed on Amazon Prime for those here in Canada.
