Thatcher Demko Admits How He Truly Feels About Partner Kevin Lankinen Re-Signing with the Vancouver Canucks

Vancouver Canucks star goalie Thatcher Demko issues statement on how he feels about his partner Kevin Lankinen and the priory of Patrik Allvin getting him signed to a long-term contract.
Thatcher Demko has bot talked to the media, going radio silent ever since he went down with another undisclosed injury at the beginning of February.
The good news is, he is very close to working his way back into the Canucks rotation as he was finally a full participant in at practice today of the first time in over a month.
Even Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet have one of his classic promising but vague like injury updates.
Tocchet on Demko: "He's starting to feel pretty good, so we'll see what happens.

Now that he is finally closer than ever to returning, he also ended up speaking to the media for the first time in a long-time, using it to congratulate and praise his partner Kevin Lankinen for steeping up as the starter and earning a well deserved contract extension.
Thatcher Demko on VAN resigning Kevin Lankinen: «Kevin deserved every penny of that contract for what he's done. He's a great guy, great teammate. I'm happy for Kevin. I've always been committed to this team and love being a Canuck. So it didn't change anything on my part.»
Demko's reaction to Lankinen's success and new contract says a lot about him as a teammate and leader on a team that has lacked that amid the drama of the 2025 season.
He is genuinely happy and supports the success of his goalie partner as it directly reflects the success of the Canucks.
