Thatcher Demko reveals his injury's provenance: Opens up on his status
It's unclear when Thatcher Demko will suit up again for the Canucks after missing over a month with an injury, but the team's star goalie says he's ready to go.
The 28-year-old confirmed that a knee injury has kept him out of the lineup for so long, but he's feeling good now.
Vancouver has been floundering since losing Demko, hovering right around .500 without their star goalie. With their playoff spot already assured, the Canucks' staff made sure not to rush their star goaltender back.
He started skating again last week and made it back to practice with his teammates earlier this week. His load will continue to increase as he nears a return. At this point, the possibility of having him between the pipes and the Oilers still hasn't been denied.
