Thatcher Demko steals the show early in the game with magnificent save
The Canucks waited over a month before getting their superstar netminder back. Back to 100%, the American Thatcher Demko led the Canucks to their first playoff win since the bubble playoffs.
With only two games played since returning from an undisclosed injury, there were some doubts regarding whether or not he'd be back at the top of his game. In the first game's opening moments, he showed how good he felt with a magnificent cross-crease save. The Preds had an opportunity to score first when Anthony Beauvilier almost capitalized on a two-on-one, but his former teammate had other things in mind:
