Thatcher Demko's timeline for a return revealed
The Canucks have been able to keep their heads above water since losing their star goaltender Thatcher Demko to injury, and they'll have to do so for a while longer.
On the April 29 Donnie and Dhali podcast, Rick Dhaliwal says he's been told Demko's injury will likely keep him out 2-4 weeks, meaning the Canucks will have to get through Nashville and stay alive against the winner of LA/Edmonton until late in the series before they see their goalie again.
Since the injury, there's been speculation that Demko could return late in round 2- should the Canucks make it that far.
There have been conflicting reports about the injury, with some pointing towards Demko even needing surgery, but Dhaliwal believes it's not severe.
The Canucks have already gotten wins out of two other goalies in DeSmith and Silovs, and they'll need to get at least 3 or 4 more if they're going to see Demko return to the lineup.
