A National Hockey League insider has given a big update regarding Vancouver Canucks defenseman Victor Mancini, who is currently on injured reserve (IR).

The Vancouver Canucks are set to take on the Minnesota Wild tonight for the second game of their three-game road trip, which concludes on Monday in Nashville, and the club is hoping to get some reinforcements soon.
Among those that are currently on the sideline is defenseman Victor Mancini, who was hurt during last Sunday's win over the Edmonton Oilers after colliding with Curtis Lazar and being hit by Trent Frederic, which led General Manager Patrik Allvin to place him on injured reserve retroactive to October 26th.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today the following roster moves:

- D Victor Mancini has been placed on injured reserve (retroactive to Oct 26).

- D Derek Forbort has been placed on LTIR (retroactive to Oct 11).

- D Tom Willander has been recalled from Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks said on social media this week.

NHL insider gives big injury update on Vancouver Canucks' Victor Mancini

During an appearance on Halford & Brough on Friday morning, NHL insider and co-host of Donnie & Dhali gave an update on Victor Mancini's injury and his timeline to get back into the Canucks' lineup.
According to Dhaliwal, Victor Mancini has an arm injury, which was sustained either on that collision with Curtis Lazar or the hit from Trent Frederic just seconds later.
As for when fans could possibly see Victor Mancini back in the team's lineup, it could be sooner than many were expecting, with Dhaliwal saying that Hancock, Michigan native's timeline is seven-to-ten days from when he got hurt, with tomorrow marking the seventh day, which is also the minimum amount of time he has to spend on IR.
Whenever Victor Mancini returns to the lineup, whether it's Monday night in Nashville or back in Vancouver on Wednesday, Patrik Allvin is going to have a very difficult decision to make with his blueline, but the most likely move will be sending 2023 first round pick Tom Willander back to the American Hockey League's Abbotsford Canucks.
Mancini, 23, has appeared in five games for the Vancouver Canucks this season where he has gone point-less with five penalty minutes and is a minus-two.
