Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote gave an update last night after defenseman Victor Mancini was forced to leave their game against the Edmonton Oilers.
After losing three in a row, the Vancouver Canucks returned to action on Sunday night for the second of a back-to-back as they took on Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers.
Thanks to a solid performance from Thatcher Demko, who got the start in goal last night, as well as a two-goal game from Kiefer Sherwood, the Vancouver Canucks walked away with a 4-3 overtime win.
However, as has been the theme for the last little while, the Vancouver Canucks unfortunately didn't get through the game without one of their players going down with an injury as defenseman Victor Mancini left and did not return.

Mancini, who was just called back up to the NHL ahead of Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens, appeared to be shaken up when colliding with Curtis Lazar in front of the Canucks' net last night and just a few seconds later, was hit by Trent Frederic.
The 23-year-old would skate off the ice, go back to the team's dressing room and did not return, leaving the Canucks with just five defensemen for the third period and overtime.
"Mancini's last shift. Heads off Curtis Lazar cutting to the net, takes a loud hit from Trent Frederic along the boards, then leaves the ice. #Canucks" Lachlan Irvine said.
"Defenceman Victor Mancini will not return to tonight's game." the Canucks announced.
When meeting with reporters after the game, Adam Foote said that Mancini was still being evaluated by the team's training staff and that there isn't a definite timeline for how long he could be out of the lineup for.
"Victor Mancini is still being evaluated, and the club doesn't have a firm timeline yet." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 said.
Mancini, a native of Hancock, Michigan, was likely going to be a healthy scratch again on Sunday night against the Edmonton Oilers, but with Quinn Hughes deemed day-to-day with a lower-body injury, he was thrusted into action, making his first appearance with the club since last weekend against the Washington Capitals.
As the Canucks await news regarding Victor Mancini's injury, the club is getting ready to welcome a familiar face back to Rogers Arena on Tuesday night as J.T. Miller and the New York Rangers come to town for a 7 p.m. PT puck drop on Sportsnet 360.
