It appears the Vancouver Canucks are not done making moves early this offseason as a new trade proposal has come to the surface, putting $13 million fan favorite power forward Dakota Joshua at risk.
With some comments made earlier in the summer, there is a strong chance that another trade is about to come to fruition.
Trade proposal sends Vancouver Canucks winger Dakota Joshua to the Toronto Maple Leafs
A report circulated from Rick Dhaliwal of Donnie & Dhali that suggested Dakota Joshua's name is out there in the rumor mill this summer.
"I really am hearing the Canucks are souring on Dakota Joshua for some odd reason. His name is out there." Dhaliwal said.
With the door open to Joshua leaving the Canucks, a new trade proposal has come to the surface that suggests Joshua could be heading to
the Toronto Maple Leafs for
Calle Jarnkrok, a 2026 third-round pick and 2027 fifth-round pick.

Vancouver Canucks Acquire
- Calle Jarnkrok
- 2026 third-round pick
- 2027 fifth-round
In return, the Maple Leafs would give up two draft picks as well as Jarnkrok, who could replace Joshua in the bottom-6, but also the ability to move up in the lineup if needed.
Out of all the trade rumors that ciruclate around the Canucks, this one actually tends to make a lot of sense for both sides and it could easily get done after Vancouver expressed their willingness to move on from the 29-year-old.
