The AHL affiliate of the Vancouver Canucks, the Abbotsford Canucks have renamed their arena from the Abbotsford centre to the Rogers Forum, as it makes sense with the Rogers Arena for the NHL team.

Pro hockey was reintroduced in Abbotsford in 2021, and since then the club has experienced a lot success, including winning the Calder Cup last season.
"On Monday night, in Game 6 of the Calder Cup Final against the Charlotte Checkers, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers, the Abbotsford Canucks squeaked out a 3-2 win to claim their first ever Calder Cup."-Jaxon

Abbotsford has facelift for current arena changing the name to Rogers Forum.

David Quadrelli of Canucks Army reported on the new name for the AHL affiliate. It's a good step forward for the team receiving a big time sponsor in Rogers to be placed on the arena, formerly known as the Abbotsford Centre. It should definitely help the team with funding and providing a better experience for the fans and the players.
"Originally opened in 2009, the Rogers Forum has been a spot for concerts, pro and amateur hockey, and upon its opening, it served as the home of the AHL's Abbotsford Heat, the farm team of the Calgary Flames. The Heat left in 2014, and pro hockey returned to the building when the Abbotsford Canucks played their inaugural AHL season in 2021-22."-Quadrelli

Rogers expressed their excitement as they deepen their relationship with Canucks Sports and Entertainment, which includes the Vancouver Canucks. The new partnership will help boost the economy in Abbotsford according to Terrie Tweddle, Chief Brand and Communications Officer for Rogers.
"We're excited to expand our partnership with Canucks Sports & Entertainment and bring Rogers Forum to life as a hub for players, fans and families in the Fraser Valley. This partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to connecting fans in BC to the best experiences - on the ice, on the stage, and in the community.»-Tweddle

This partnership reflects the success of the Abbotsford team, and what they have been able to build in such a short time since rejoining the AHL. The partnership will definitely reap some benefits for the organization.
