The Vancouver Canucks have announced an exciting opportunity for someone to join the organization in a pretty significant role for the 2025-26 season and beyond.
With the 2024-25 season winding down for the majority of the National Hockey League's 32 franchises, teams are beginning to look to the future not only to build their rosters, but also round out their staff in general whether it's in the front office, marketing department, ticket sales, etc.
Landing a job with a National Hockey League isn't easy and it's not often positions get posted for the public to apply, but on Friday, the Vancouver Canucks shared a pretty exciting opportunity that they're hiring for.

In a post on X on Friday afternoon, Vancouver Canucks Senior Director of Marketing John Delaney announced that the organization is hiring a Director of Social Media & Content for Canucks Sports & Entertainment.
For those who aren't familiar with the group, Canucks Sports & Entertainment - led by Francesco Aquilini - owns the Vancouver Canucks, along with the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks, NLL's Vancouver Warriors and an E-Sports team called the Vancouver Surge.

In the job posting, the role of the Director of Social Media & Content will be to develop, produce and publish content across the digital and social media channels of Canucks Sports & Entertainment to help drive fan engagement.
"The Director, Social Media & Content will lead the development, production, and publishing of digital and social content across Canucks Sports & Entertainment (CSE) brands; driving innovation, deepening fan engagement, and setting a new standard for sports storytelling.
This role oversees the department's planning and operations, collaborating closely with leaders across Marketing, Communications, Hockey Operations, Sales, Corporate Partnerships, and Community Engagement to support key business initiatives." Canucks Sports & Entertainment said in the job posting.
