Vancouver Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers recently opened up regarding a feud between J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson that became a big story in the National Hockey League last season.

The Vancouver Canucks' 2024-25 season was a very difficult one due to inconsistencies leading to them missing out on the Stanley Cup Playoffs, injuries as well as a as well as a feud between two of their biggest stars, Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller, the latter of whom was eventually traded to the New York Rangers.
Elias Pettersson is now looking to move forward and recently, his teammate Tyler Myers, who has proven to be a strong leader in the dressing room, opened up recently about a number or topics regarding the Canucks, including that aforementioned feud.

During a recent edition of The Cam & Strick Podcast, Canucks defenseman Tyler Myers was asked about the 2024-25 season in Vancouver and the feud that went on between Pettersson and Miller.
Myers admitted there was tension between the two players throughout the year, but he added that it wasn't something his teammates were overly concerned about and he believes the locker room is in a great place.
"It got pretty crazy, just publicly last year. Way, way more than what it was. I'm not going to sit here and say there wasn't tension. But I've been on a team where two players are in a full-on fist fight after a game, who I know are close friends. There's going to be tension anywhere you go." Myers said.

He went on to add, "Millsy and I got close. It was a lot more than it needed to be, but it wasn't anything crazy. We were figuring things out, just like every other team does with different situations. But our locker room is great. I like coming into the rink everyday, all the guys are close and we weren't too worried about it."

The reported feud between Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller lasted for quite a while, with management and the coaching staff making attempts to help smooth things over between the two, but that didn't work, leading to Patrik Allvin to explore the trade market for them.
Ultimately, as mentioned, it was J.T. Miller who was traded in late January to New York for a package that included Victor Mancini, Filip Chytil and a first round pick that was flipped to Pittsburgh for Marcus Pettersson and Drew O'Connor.
The Canucks believed that trading Miller would help Elias Pettersson get back to his normal self and for the majority of March, he did, registering ten points in 11 games before suffering a season-ending injury.
With the feud now in the past, hopefully Elias Pettersson is able to get back to being his old self, a 90-100 point player, which would go a long way in getting the Vancouver Canucks back to the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
