The Vancouver Canucks have entered the record books for all the wrong reasons following Sunday night's loss at Rogers Arena to the Calgary Flames.

While the Vancouver Canucks have had a tough start to the 2025-26 season in general, they appears to be night and day when comparing their home & away records as Adam Foote's group has is 3-7-1 in 11 games at Rogers Arena this year.
Frustration has begun to boil over, especially among the fan base, some of whom believe that captain Quinn Hughes should request a trade as they don't think he has a realistic chance of winning a Stanley Cup in Vancouver.
"Request a trade, Quinn. It's the only way this organization is gonna make a change and hopefully pressure [Francesco] Aquilini to step down." @JB_nuckles said.

"Poor guy. Deserves to be playing for a contender. It doesn't serve Canucks fans or the team to have him any longer. They need to be drafting in the top 3 and he needs to he playing for a cup" @CoreyDa68268616 said.

Vancouver Canucks enter the record books for all the wrong reasons

Last night, the Vancouver Canucks fell to the Calgary Flames by a score of 5-2 and have now allowed the second-most goals in the Western Conference and the entire league with 86, one back of the Edmonton Oilers (87) for most given up this season.
According to StatsCentre on X, the Vancouver Canucks' 42 goals allowed on home ice this season is tied for the fifth-worst in the team's first 11 games in franchise history.
"Most goals allowed through the first 11 home games of a season in #Canucks franchise history (1970-71 to present):
58 in 1984-85
54 in 1983-84
44 in 1986-87
44 in 1987-88
44 in 2024-25
43 in 1989-90
42 in 2025-26 (Via 5 on Sunday vs CGY)
42 in 1995-96
41 in 1972-73
41 in 1985-86" StatsCentre said.
Vancouver's goaltending situation isn't as great as things seemed heading into the 2025-26 season as Thatcher Demko is sidelined week-to-week with a lower-body injury, while Kevin Lankinen has an .880 save percentage and 3.63 goals against average in 13 games, which isn't helping his case for a spot on Finland's Olympic roster.
Patrik Allvin's decision in the offseason to trade Arturs Silovs to the Pittsburgh Penguins is starting to backfire on him a bit as the Latvian netminder has looked pretty good through 11 appearance in The Steel City.
If Thatcher Demko's injury keeps him out for longer than a month or two and Kevin Lankinen's performances remain subpar, Patrik Allvin may have no choice but to scour the trade market for help between the pipes before his group falls further out of the playoff picture.
