A Vancouver Canucks goaltending prospect made an appearance recently on a popular reality television show in Canada, which caught the eye of many of the team's fans.
With the Vancouver Canucks
trading away Arturs Silovs to the Pittsburgh Penguins earlier this month, it's opened up an opportunity for Ty Young to be at the AHL level on a permanent basis, sharing the crease with fellow prospect
Nikita Tolopilo, as they look to return to the Calder Cup Final next spring.
As the offseason continues, Ty Young was in the spotlight once again as he made an appearance on a very popular reality television show up here in Canada.

Season 11 of
The Amazon Race Canada, based on the American series of the same name, is fully underway and is hosted by Jon Montgomery, who won gold at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver and
gained worldwide attention for his celebration afterwards as he walked through the Olympic village with a pitcher of beer.
For those who aren't familiar with The Amazing Race Canada, it features teams of two participating in tasks to find clues that take them from coast-to-coast-coast, with the last pair standing at the end of the season taking home $250,000 CAD.
During a recent episode, the show made a stop in Abbotsford at Abbotsford Centre, home of the AHL Canucks, where the contestants participated in a shootout competition, with the winner being given their clue by none other than Ty Young.
"If Ty Young doesn't make it as a goalie (He will 100% make it) there's a career in Television for him. #canucks
During the brief clip, which was posted to social media by X user @scott_spitters, Young played the role of the referee in the shootout and had a small line at the end of the competition.
"Here's your next clue, congratulations." Young said.
It's been a wild offseason for Ty Young so far and Vancouver Canucks fans are very excited to see what's in store when he's back on the ice in training camp starting in mid-September and if he'll be able to play a big role down in Abbotsford this coming season.
