The Vancouver Canucks' injury issues continue to spiral out of control as yet another veteran is sidelined less than two months into the NHL's 2025-26 season.

Injuries have become a common theme for the Vancouver Canucks this season as Adam Foote's group has several notable names on the sidelines at the moment including goaltender Thatcher Demko and forward Filip Chytil, the latter of whom hasn't played since October 19th against the Washington Capitals.
With December just one day away, the Vancouver Canucks are hoping to flip the script and have luck on their side as we enter the holidays, but as we close out the month of November, it appears that there's yet another injury to talk about.

Vancouver Canucks dealt another big injury blow on team's four-game road trip

When meeting with reporters on Saturday evening ahead of their game against the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks Head Coach Adam Foote said that Conor Garland is out of the lineup with an upper-body injury.
"Conor Garland is out tonight with an upper body injury. He's still being evaluated, so there's no timeline as of yet." Brendan Batchelor of Sportsnet 650 said on X.
A short while later, Sportsnet insider Elliotte Friedman gave a slight update on Conor Garland, sharing that it's not believed to be a serious injury, which is good for both the Canucks and General Manager Patrik Allvin as he continues to garner interest on the Scituate, Massachusetts native.
"Conor Garland won't play for Vancouver tonight -- that's injury-related, not trade-related.

Not believed to be serious." Friedman said.
Garland, 29, joins a growing list of injured Vancouver Canucks that includes the aforementioned Thatcher Demko and Filip Chytil, along with forwards Teddy Blueger and Nils Hoglander and veteran defenseman Derek Forbort.
This isn't the first time Conor Garland suffered an injury during the 2025-26 campaign as he's now missed five games this season, including a three-game road to St. Louis, Minnesota and Dallas, due to upper-body injuries.
We'll have to wait for an update on Conor Garland's status in the coming days, but it's possible the full extent of his injury, as well as a timeline, might not be known until the Canucks return to Vancouver ahead of their four-game homestand beginning Friday against the Utah Mammoth.
