Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has been honoured by the club this week for his solid effort throughout the month of November amid ongoing trade rumors.

The last few weeks have been tough for Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes has been tough for Vancouver Canucks captain Quinn Hughes as he continues to deal with his name being mentioned in trade rumors around the National Hockey League, with new teams entering the mix to acquire him each and every day.
"I mean, no, I'm doing what I can. I was on the ice so it wasn't like, if there was a call, me, Jim and Fitzy hopped on the call, you know? I wasn't a part of that, but obviously I'm aware things like that can happen, for sure." Quinn Hughes said recently.

Despite those persistent trade rumors, Quinn Hughes has been able to push through and after a tough start to the 2025-26 season for himself, he took his game up a notch throughout November and has been honoured by the club.

After registering 15 points (one goal, 14 assists) in 12 games during November, the Vancouver Canucks have announced that Quinn Hughes is December's recipient of the Molson Cup, which is handed out to a player for who has stood out on the ice each month.

This month's winner posted 1 goal and 14 assists in November. Congrats, Quinn!" the Canucks said on X.
The Canucks brought back the Molson Cup last month following a lengthy absence, with forward Kiefer Sherwood winning the first edition for the 2025-26 campaign after registering nine tallies in 12 games throughout October and as of today, December 11th, still leads his team in goals.

This historic trophy recognizes a #Canucks player for their outstanding on-ice performance, including previous winners like Bure, McLean, and Näslund.

This month's recipient scored 9 goals and 0 assists in 12 games in October. Congrats Kiefer Sherwood!" the Canucks said last month.

Hughes, 26, has appeared in 25 games for the Canucks this season where he's registered 22 points (two goals, 20 assists), 12 penalty minutes and is a minus-nine while averaging a whopping 27:19 of ice time per night.
With those aforementioned trade rumors ramping up to the point where it feels it's inevitable that Quinn Hughes is moved by the Vancouver Canucks before the deadline in the first full week of March, this very well could be his last Molson Cup with the club.
