The Vancouver Canucks have made a big announcement this week regarding their main training camp ahead of the 2025-26 National Hockey League season.

Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has done a pretty good job in recent weeks to prepare the team for next season by trading for Evander Kane, re-signing forward Brock Boeser long-term, contract extensions for Conor Garland and Thatcher Demko, along with some minor signings as well.
There are still 90 days separating us from the start NHL's 2025-26 regular season, which means we're in for a pretty long summer, especially with the majority of the team's offseason moves already completed, however the countdown to training camp is officially on.

Vancouver Canucks make big announcement about upcoming training camp

On Tuesday, the Vancouver Canucks announced on social media that for the second straight year, the team will be hosting their training camp Penticton, British Columbia.
In addition to the announcement of this year's training camp location, the Vancouver Canucks revealed the dates they'll be in Penticton, with the team's first on-ice session set for Thursday, September 18th and they'll wrap things up on Sunday, September 21st.
"The Vancouver Canucks announced today that the City of Penticton has agreed to host their 2025 Training Camp, with on-ice sessions taking place between September 18-21. This is the second consecutive year that the Canucks will kick off their NHL season at the South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC). A full schedule including ice times will be announced at a later date." the team said in a press release.

President of Hockey Operations Jim Rutherford commented on the decision to return to Penticton for a second straight year and he said that the organization is thrilled that the city is welcoming them back, while praising the facilities they have.
"We couldn't be happier with our decision to return to Penticton this fall. The facilities are first rate, the fan support is fantastic and our players, coaches and staff all love what the Okanagan has to offer." Rutherford said.

On the same day the team wraps up the Penticton portion of training camp, they'll open up their six-game preseason slate with a battle against their Pacific Northwest rivals, the Seattle Kraken before heading to Abbotsford to take on the Calgary Flames three days later.
Vancouver's preseason will also feature games on September 26th (vs Seattle), September 28th (@ Edmonton), October 1st (@ Calgary) and October 3rd (vs Edmonton).
