An NHL insider has revealed which members of the Vancouver Canucks aren't available on the league's trade market leading up to the deadline on March 6th.

The Vancouver Canucks raised some eyebrows last week after the organization informed teams around the league that they've made some veteran players on their roster available for trade amid their poor start to the 2025-26 season, with Adam Foote's group sitting 14th in the Western Conference with a 10-14-3 record through 27 games.
"According to several sources, the Vancouver Canucks have let it be known that - in an effort to get younger - they are willing to listen to offers on 'veteran players.'" Elliotte Friedman said.

When talking about Quinn Hughes, he added, "They've made it clear (trading him) is not their priority right now," (Filip Hronek is another player teams feel is unlikely to go anywhere.)"

Understandably, Vancouver's pending unrestricted free agents are expected to take priority in trade talks between now and Friday, March 6th, but teams will certainly be calling up Patrik Allvin about other players on his roster, however late last week, NHL insider David Pagnotta revealed which names are unlikely to be moved by the club.

NHL insider reveals which Vancouver Canucks players aren't available for trade

During an appearance on The Sheet with Jeff Marek last week, National Hockey League insider David Pagnotta shared that Brock Boeser is not going to be traded by the Vancouver Canucks, with Jake DeBrusk, Tyler Myers and Elias Pettersson also unlikely to be on the move.
"Re Canucks: [Boeser's] not going anywhere, you're not moving DeBrusk, Myers, Pettersson...they're not waiving right now." Pagnotta said.
With the Canucks' management group saying that they're not undergoing a rebuild at this time, it makes sense that those four won't be traded and it wouldn't be easy to get a deal done with any of them given they all have no-movement clauses and hold full control over their respective futures.
While those four, along with Quinn Hughes and probably Filip Hronek, being unavailable on the trade market, it's going to be interesting to see which non-pending UFAs garner interest out of Vancouver, with teams already calling the Canucks about forward Conor Garland nearly seven months before his new contract extension kicks in.
The next 90 days are going to be very busy for the Vancouver Canucks organization, but fans are excited to see what changes are on the horizon and if Patrik Allvin will be able to bring anyone in that'll increase their chances of becoming a contender in the years to come.
