With six days to go until the National Hockey League's trade deadline, the Vancouver Canucks might be better off if they go down the selling route.
Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has been quite buys over the five weeks, which includes the J.T. Miller trade with the New York Rangers, which landed the organization a fairly good return.

It's safe to say that, to this point, it's a sellers market in the National Hockey League when looking at some of the trades that have been made and because of that, combined with their inconsistent play, Stephan Roget of Canucks Army believes that the Vancouver Canucks shouldn't be buyers.
"But we are here to declare that the Canucks are, quite decidedly, not performing well enough in 2024/25 to be worth investing any more resources into.

Roget added that the team isn't in a good position right now where they should be going out and adding rental players like they did last season with Elias Lindholm and Nikita Zadorov, who both went on to sign with the Boston Bruins as free agents on July 1st.
If Patrik Allvin and the Vancouver Canucks decide that they want to sell ahead of next Friday's trade deadline, they have a number of pieces that could land them intriguing returns.
Pending unrestricted free agent forward Brock Boeser is not only the most likely to be moved between now and 12 pm PT on March 7th, but he would undoubtedly net the Vancouver Canucks the biggest return of any assets they could deal.
Among other options that the Vancouver Canucks could trade include defensemen Carson Soucy and Derek Forbort, pending UFA forward Pius Suter, as well as, but probably unlikely, Elias Pettersson.
