For the second consecutive day, Vancouver Canucks General Manager Patrik Allvin has placed a forward on the National Hockey League's waiver wire.

The Vancouver Canucks are set to wrap up their six-game preseason slate on Friday night against the Edmonton Oilers and after an action-packed training camp with some interesting battles, particularly in the team's bottom-six forward group, Patrik Allvin is slowly making cuts ahead of opening night.
On Thursday, the Canucks General Manager placed Russian forward Vitali Kravtsov on waivers with the intention of sending him down to the American Hockey League and today, Vancouver once again placed one of their forwards on the wire.

In a post on social media this morning, the Vancouver Canucks announced that they've placed Swedish forward Nils Aman on waivers in order to assign him to the AHL's Abbotsford Canucks.
"General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Nils Åman has been placed on waivers for the purpose of assignment to Abbotsford (AHL)." the Canucks said.
Aman, originally a Colorado Avalanche draftee, signed with the Vancouver Canucks in the summer of 2022 after three seasons in the Swedish Hockey League.
The Avesta, Sweden native has gone on to appear in 130 games at the NHL level with the Vancouver Canucks over the last three years and was hoping to make the team right out of the gate this year, but as Trevor Beggs of Daily Hive pointed out earlier this week, he hasn't stood out at training camp or done enough to warrant being on the opening night roster.
"Nils Aman was sent to the minors before the beginning of last season and hasn't been a standout at camp." Beggs said.

Meanwhile, just after 11 a.m. PT, the Vancouver Canucks got some good news, as forward Vitali Kravtsov has cleared waivers and is now free to be sent to Abbotsford (AHL), where he'll begin the 2025-26 campaign.
"Vitali Kravtsov has cleared waivers." Canucks Army said.
Elsewhere around the National Hockey League, a total of 12 players, including Nils Aman have been placed on waivers as teams continue to prepare their rosters for opening night.
Among the 12 on today's waiver wire is former Vancouver Canucks forward Sheldon Rempal, who is now a member of the Washington Capital organization after spending last year in the KHL, where he had 31 goals and 61 points in 68 games.
Rempal appeared in just one game with the Vancouver Canucks during the 2021-22 season, but was their best player by far in Abbotsford that year, registering a team-leading 69 points (33 goals, 36 assists).
