Vancouver Canucks' Projected Lineup & Starting Goaltender Announced For Friday's Game vs Chicago Blackhawks
The Vancouver Canucks' projected lineup, as well as starting goaltender, for tonight's game against the Chicago Blackhawks in The Windy City has been announced.
As the Vancouver Canucks embarked on their five-game road trip this week, reports indicated that Head Coach Adam Foote was going to shake up his forward lines starting on Thursday night in Dallas.
When the Canucks hit the ice for the morning skate yesterday, fans got a quick glimpse at the club's new lines, the club's new lines, with Drew O'Connor & Conor Garland shifting up to the top line to play with Elias Pettersson, while Max Sasson came into the lineup for Braeden Cootes , who was sent back to the WHL, and Linus Karlsson made his season debut in place of Jonathan Lekkerimaki, who Adam Foote decided to make a healthy scratch.
Foote's lineup changes worked, as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Dallas Stars by a score of 5-3, with multi-point efforts from Filip Hronek, Quinn Hughes and Conor Garland.
"We had a plan, and at intermission we said, 'Guys, I know it doesn't feel right, but we're doing alright, just hang in there.' They were transitioning from a man-on-man offence to a little bit of a zone when it's low, and when it's past high, it's more of a man-on-man," Foote said following Thursday's win.

In an article for NHL.com, Vancouver's projected lineup was announced for this evening's game against North Vancouver native Connor Bedard & the Chicago Blackhawks, and it looks like everything will stay the same, from the four forward lines to the three defensive pairings, however as expected, there will be a switch between the pipes.
After making 28 saves on 31 shots last night, Thatcher Demko will understandably be the Canucks' backup netminder tonight, with Helsinki native Kevin Lankinen getting his second start of the 2025-26 season.

Adam Foote is set to speak with reporters at 2:50 p.m. PT this afternoon, so we'll have to wait and see if he decides to make any last minute changes to his lineup, but given how they played last night, it would be smart to roll with the same group again.
