The Vancouver Canucks are getting closer and closer to their season opener, and recently at their practice at UBC, the potential line combinations were revealed, with some potential surprises.
Most notably some young players really proving they belong in the NHL.

The most notable players are Cootes and Mancini, who have been spoken about several times about their emergence in training camp so far for the Canucks. Braeden Cootes being their most recent first round pick of the 2025 NHL entry draft. He might become the first 18 year old to play for the Canucks in over 20 years.
Then there's Victor Mancini, who is finally growing into his frame and skating very well for a bigger player. It often takes bigger players more time to develop into their bodies, and get accustomed to playing with a bigger frame. It may be finally time for Mancini to show that he is ready to be an NHL regular, and can be a presence with or without the puck.
The Canucks will have to get down to 23 players before their season kicks off October 9th against the Calgary Flames.
