Vancouver Canucks urged by trusted voices to trade Quinn Hughes before it's too late

The Vancouver Canucks are on track for a miserable season, and even worse is that captain Quinn Hughes looks more disinterested than ever, NHL insider Cam Robinson believes they need to trade him now, while his value is still very high.
If they get to close to when he becomes a UFA in two seasons, he will not bring back the same return he can bring now.

It's time for the Vancouver Canucks to move on from Quinn Hughes.
Ankit Kumar of Sportskeeda reported on the urgency the Canucks need to have with Hughes. His return if they trade him now would be massive, either for a lot of draft picks or blue-chip prospects.

NHL insider Robinson was discussing that Hughes does not see a future with the Canucks, he will either join his brothers or sign with a contender. The Canucks have not given him enough of a team, or a good enough outlook on the future for him to stay. It's not entirely his fault given how poor the team has been. But it is time to move on.
"You move Quinn Hughes this year automatically, you get a bigger return, but the side bar that is your team is much, much worse, and you get a lottery pick, and they need as many top five picks as possible in order to get that dynamic, high-level talent to actually build something long term."-Robinson
Jim Rutherford announced a week ago that Hughes was not available for trade, but they need to reconsider. They have little to no hope at making the playoffs and even if they do make it, they won't go very far. They need to consider their future, and loading it up with top 10 draft picks is the way to go.
